Winsnes Fly Fishing Lodge, the Norwegian lodge Owned by Matt and his wife, is pleased to announce that it has just signed a contract for one of the best pieces of salmon fishing water on the Gaula. Known as Flaskholen, the beat is over a mile long and Winsnes has both banks. Fishing will be limited to just six anglers a week and will be fly only, available only to guests at the lodge.
The area is one of the best on Gaula and arguably offers the most exclusive fly fishing experience.

With Christmas just round the corner, lots of you have been e-mailing to enquire about guided trips in 2012. Matt has decided to do very few in the coming year but he has committed to doing a Matt Hayes academy at Furnace Mill fishery. There are three days, two have sold out and another has just been added. Places cost £200.00
If you want one to one stuff, Matt is doing some pike on the fly and trout fly fishing days in the spring and some barbel days in the autumn.

Please note that Matt is currently receiving round fifty requests a week to take or join people on free fishing trips. He cannot and does not do it. Matt uses this time to support Starlight children’s charity or Dreamstore. Please do not use the contact us section to send Matt fishing questions – he receives so many that he does not answer them.

Matt has agreed to appear on the Angling Times stand at the show which takes place in March. The show will see Matt launch his new clothing range, ‘Adventure on the Line’ and he will also be signing copies of his new book, “Fisheye – a Guide to Angling Photography.’

The books are not available in the shops and the only way to get a copy is to go to the duke’s site and order one. A limited collection of leather bound copies are also available.

Wild Fisherman, Matt’s latest series has premiered on Nov 8th in 130
Countries worldwide on Discovery’s Hd premiere channel. The shows go out at nine and ten pm, back to back, every Thursday.
It is strange that the shows are not being broadcast in the Uk until next April.
